This Is When You Should Visit Oslo

With this pictureless post I am going to give you the dates for when you should visit Oslo.

First of all hurry book your ticket for next weekend

15 flea markets to visit is gonna make Saturday (April 9th) and Sunday a couple of busy days for me (and you??). Last year the market at Grefsen Skole was more than great, so I will for sure be found there!

May 7th. is the next weekend to book tickets for, as the Awesome and very big market at Ekebergsletta will be held. A must!!! But dont be sad if you cant make it that day, 'cause it will be held again on September 17th. Again, it IS a must!!

SprayPaint

I have been wanting to spray paint this note board for a while, but it couldnt be done inside the apartment and I was a little anxious it has been to cold outside.  I have been on Mrs Skjerstads back for a while, as I consider her The Queen of Spray Paint in Bloglandia, asking her continuous if she think I can start spray now as its almost 10'C outside. She encouraged me to go for it and just give it a try. So I did! 

 Its becoming very springish in Oslo, and today its so nice and sunny! We live on the 5th floor 

and the sun hits us from about noon until

it gives us a sunset to watch at 

the end of the day. With 20 degrees in 

the sun today,

it was a perfect day for my first 

spray paint project. 

The note board is not gonna 

be used for some big revolutionary thing, 

only to hang 

my ear rings and necklaces on. 

I used a banana box as a spray paint cage. 
It gets equally as white as
the board itself :)


Mrs Skjerstad was correct about one thing, 
and that is that the paint WILL start 
running alittle. Have to see what I will 
do about the lumps that has developed 
on the edges. Maybe I just keep it that way, 
or maybe I remove them and
spray paint over it again... 
Time will show.



It has now gotten 2 layers of paint!

All I can do now is wait until it get dry 

enough for me to start on the next step,

or maybe a new layer. 

Right now its resting in the sun with 

MrHe's spring jacket, which has been 

washed today and ready to be used.

So nice to finally be able 

to dry things in the sun, 

or even just outside!

Meanwhile they dries up, I sip a cup of tea and enjoy this awesome sunshine, while I send Mrs Skjerstad a big up and thank you for all the advices given to the inpatient She!!


BTW: I LOVE this time of the year!! Hope it has reached you where ever you may be too!!

The Husband always laugh at The Wife that runs around taking pictures of all kind of strange things... but now I think he has gotten a little influenced by it - because he knew I would like it, he took a picture of this:

Red went Black

For my birthday this year I decided to bake cup cakes. I have been looking at the recipe for Red Velvet Cup Cakes for awhile, and saw how nice the cup cakes my girl Åse made turned out. Bright red and lovely! I went to Traktøren to buy the color to add, and I saw they also had black syrup to add, so I ended up buying that instead. 

This box contains about two small spoons of syrup,

 and gives the dough a really black look! 

It look really great in the cupcake liners I bought at Designtorget a while ago,

and together with the white, delicious, creamy icing to die for, it looks kind of rad, dont you think!? And they taste amazing!!

The black color wont only give you and your friends a good laugh with coloring your tongues black, it will give you a pretty craaaaazy experience the day after, an experience I only can laugh at and my husband wont even talk about - I wont post any pictures of that result though ;)

13 & Me

A little while ago we celebrated my moms birthday in Tønsberg, where my brother lives. Knowing that the lovely store 13 was in the area, it had to be payed a visit. My only regret about visiting is that I didnt bought more...  I am very happy about the plates that I did take with me.

Cant wait to serve my cookies or waffles or maybe ice cake with it!!

I really recommend paying 13 a visit, a store to get lost in! See you later, 13!! 

Weekend Bliss

I've spent this past week on a course in Nursing the Acute and Critically Ill patient, getting alot of new and fresh input and knowledge, eating fruit out of disposable cups. Made me feel like a kid on a Saturday, getting served the portioned weekend-candy.

Emergency Braids

Every now and again He let his hair out, so He can wash it properly and put in new fresh braids. Sometimes He is letting out the hair before He has made plans for the evening, so all of a sudden he need EB's - Emergency Braids. Then He let She put them in. 

Im sure I used to be a Black Mama in an earlier life!!  Not only can I stew this and that, I can braid too!! When Im getting old Im moving to Belize and you can find me braiding tourists in the streets ;)

IKEA

What does a girl do when the husband cant come with her to IKEA to carry all the heavy stuff she wants to get??

She buys an IKEA trolley and deal with it on her own, praying for the wheels to handle the trip through the cities icy streets and tram tracks and on and off the bus.... And it did!! 

Now the only problem, is that He will ask She if She cant use the trolley instead of him coming to IKEA....

New Computer, New Blogging Opportunities!

 

My new (or ours, as the husband claims... pffft!) fully functional Samsung Q330 is resting victoriously on top of the old, slow Shiba and the blacked out Acer, and so far Im so pleased with it!! Now Im coming back to blog-mode, I can promise you! 

YAY!!! 

One went black, One is slow

It had to happen, sooner or later... My newest laptop said farewell the other night... I think it got an depression, 'cause it all of a sudden went all black on me! The computer it self works, but that doesnt help when the screen card felt like life had been long enough. 
So now I've dust cleaned my little Shiba, the 8 year old laptop, also living on overtime, with a silly slow working memory card and broken sound card. It is horrible for uploading pictures and its not always agreeing with my WiFi internet. Updating any blog is a long process I really dont have the patient with. 


I hope that I will be able to buy a new laptop veery soon, maybe on Monday!? Cross everything you got for me!!


So this is a none- picture- update to tell you that my so longed for couch finally has arrived, and it has a nice orange carpet underneath it and a round white glass center table that goes along with it. Also is all my exclusive art out and about and ready to be hung up any time now. Can you picture it? I love it, though this moving in process is sloooow, but I hope that its all worth it and it will leave me happy for some years!

When the living room is done, next thing is our bedroom. It need a head board for the bed and one of the walls need some flowery, spring/summery feel so I can wake up feeling like Summer every morning.


Well... this is boring with no pictures to show.. really boring!! But as you can see, you have alot of things to look forward to. Kind of silent before the storm kind of feel should be building up inside you, I guess! 

Til then, Weekend is here, tulips in the vase, belly full of nice husband-cooked food and tonight will a Flamingo Homeparty will lead us into this nice weekend!!
